The R7 is the smoothest riding frame we have ever produced. The radically thin seatstays allow for unprecedented vertical compliance, while the over-sized chainstays produce maximum power transfer from the crank to the wheels. 

The frame is built around a BB30 to maximize power transfer from the rider to the wheel. The headtube uses a "tapered design" to increase front end stiffness, and allow for better tracking through corners.  Tapered headtubes further improved the already advanced carbon frame technology with substantially increased front-end stiffness without additional weight. Some of the highest quality carbon frame manufactures pioneered the oversized headtube approach to deliver a solid feel during out of the saddle efforts and high speed descents. A stable front on a road bike is not only a nice to have performance feature but a vital safety bonus as well. 

This bike climbs as well as it descends.
